Mültecilerin Etiketlenmesi Ölçeği: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Mülteci sorunu başta Türkiye olmak üzere, hem savaş bölgelerine sınırları olan ve hem ekonomik gelişmişliğe sahip ülkelerin yaşadıkları başlıca sıkıntılardandır. Göç akını, tek taraflı olarak sadece göç edilen ülkenin sorunu olarak kalmamaktadır. Savaş ve doğal afet gibi büyük sorunlardan kaçan mülteciler, gittikleri ülkede başka sorunlarla karşılaşabilmektedir. Başta ideolojik olmak üzere birçok nedenle tam sosyal kabulden men edilebilen mülteciler, önce ırksal önyargıya, devamında da suçlayıcı etiketlemelere maruz kalabilmektedirler. Etiketlemenin toplumsal kabul görmesiyle birlikte, mültecilerin toplumun huzuru ve güvenliği için bir tehdit unsuru olduğu algısı yerleşik hale gelebilmektedir. Bu algının; muhtemel çatışmalara neden olmaması için politika yapıcıların önlem alabilmesi açısından, yerel halkın mültecilere yönelik suçlayıcı etiketleme tutumlarının ölçülebilmesine ihtiyaç vardır. Bu kapsamda oluşturulan 8 maddelik ve tek boyutlu ölçme aracı 439 kişiden elde edilen verilerle güvenirlik ve geçerlik testlerine tabi tutulmuştur. Kaiser-Meyer- Olkin (KMO) değerinin, .89 ile ‘çok iyi’ olduğu ve Barlett küresellik testinin anlamlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Toplam varyasın % 58.066’sı açıklama yeteneğine sahip ölçeğin, ölçülmek isteneni ayırt etme özelliğine sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi sonucu elde edilen değerlerin ise ‘iyi uyum’ gösterdiği, dolayısıyla da yapı geçerliliğinin doğrulandığı anlaşılmıştır. Bu çalışma Bingöl Üniversitesi Bilimsel Araştırma ve Yayın Etik Kurul Başkanlığı’nın 26.12.2018 tarihli ve karar numarası 58 olan izni ile yapılmıştır.

Scale of Labelling the Refugees: Validity and Reliability Study

The refugee problem is mainly the problem of the countries, especially Turkey, borders on both war zones and which have economic development. The flow of immigration is not only unilaterally a problem of the country to where immigrated. Refugees, who escape from significant problems such as war and natural disasters, may encounter other problems in the country they go to. Refugees who may be restrained from full social acceptance because of many reasons, primarily ideological, may be exposed to racial prejudice and then to accusatory labelling. With the public acceptance of labelling, the perception that refugees are a threat to society's peace and security can become established. In order for policymakers to take precautions to prevent this perception from causing possible conflicts, there is a need to measure incriminating labelling attitudes of local people towards refugees. The 8-item and one-dimensional measurement tool created within this scope was subjected to reliability and validity tests with data obtained from 439 people. It was determined that Kaiser- Meyer-Olkin (KMO) value was "very good" with .89, and Barlett's sphericity test was significant. It was observed that the scale, which can explain 58.066% of the total variance, has the feature of distinguishing what is desired to be measured. It was understood that the values obtained as a result of the Confirmatory Factor Analysis showed "good fit," and therefore, the validity of the structure was confirmed. This study was conducted with the permission of "Bingöl University Scientific Research and Publication Ethics Committee" dated 26.12.2018 and with decision number 58.
