THEORETICAL BASES OF SYNCHRONIC TRANSLATION

Translation activity in the modern world is becoming increasingly large and of increasing social significance. The translating profession has become widespread, and in many countries, special educational institutions have been established that train professional translators. It took a whole century for the modern translation theory to declare itself at the beginning of the second half of the 20th century as a special scientific direction. Since then, a little more than 50 years have passed - a period that is quite short in the history of activity, which is estimated at thousands of years. However, for the theory of translation this period turned out to be more fruitful than all the previous millennia, during which people used translation in interlingual communication, thought about and argued about the essence, principles and laws of translation, not trying to create a theory of this object. This article deals with the theoretical bases of synchronic translation.
