One hundred ten years old of the first Turkish philosophy department (at the university of Istanbul)

Thauma, that is, interest, according to Aristotle, is the driving-force behind doing philosophy-science. Interest urges you to ask questions about the essentials. Philosophy-science's task is to ask the plausible question in the direction of the the right answer within the framework of reason. In this context we examine herewith the Istanbul University Philosophy Department's hundred-year long (1900 - 2010) performance, which does, unfortunately enough, not prove itself rather rejoicing. This Department's hundred-year long educational enterprise could,; apparently, not yield a philosopher or an authentic philosophy-science tradition. Why? This essay tries to find a persuasive answer to that critical question.
