Yeni Bir Kamusal Alan Arayışı Olarak Change.Org
Kamusal alan sosyal bilimler açısından oldukça önemli bir kavramdır. Üzerindetam anlamıyla bir uzlaşmanın olmadığı bu kavramın tarifinde farklı yaklaşımlar dikkatçekmektedir. Fakat ortak bir çıkış noktası belirlemek gerekirse, demokratik toplumlarıntesisinde kamusal alanın son derece önem arz ettiği ifade edilebilir. Dolayısıyla, bu makalekamusal alanın farklı kavramsallaştırma şekillerine değinerek, günümüzde yeni medyaaracılığıyla oluşan kamusal alan meselesini Change.org özelinde incelemektedir. Bunoktada Change.org tarafından yayınlanan 2015-2016 raporları sınırlılığında, bu platformunalternatif bir kamusal alan olma durumu tartışılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı kamusalalanın yeni medya aracılığıyla ne denli dönüşüme uğradığını/uğramadığını literatür taramasıyöntemiyle tartışmaktır. Böylece kamusal alanın günümüzde almış olduğu hal ile geçmişdönemlerdeki kamusal alan kavramsallaştırmaları karşılaştırılarak analiz edilmektedir.
In the Pursuit of New Public Sphere: Change.Org
Public sphere is an important concept in social sciences. Various approaches can be found in the description of public sphere. Despite of all the differences, it is admitted that public sphere is a vital area and means in the establishment of democratic societies. Therefore, this article focused on the different conceptualization forms of the public sphere and examined the new version of public sphere through new media in the context of Change.org. 2015-2016 reports published by Change.org were examined whether this platform is an alternative public space in the scope of this article. The purpose of this study was to discuss the extent to which the public space is being transformed through new media by using the literature review method. Thus, the concept of public sphere in the past periods was analyzed and compared with the situation in which the public sphere has taken today.
