Ebeveynlerin Çocukluk Dönemi Cinsel İstismarına İlişkin Mitleri

Çocukluk dönemi cinsel istismarı çocuğun fiziksel, zihinsel, duygusal ve sosyal yaşamında önemli etkilerbırakabilmektedir. Profesyonel destek alınmadıkça da olumsuz etkiler uzun yıllar sürebilmektedir. Çocuklarınbu dönemlerinde birincil gözlemleyicileri ve sorumluluları ebeveynlerdir. Çocukların sağlıklı ve güvenli birortamda büyümeleri için ebeveynlerinin cinsel istismar konusunda farkındalıklarının yüksek olması ve yeterlibilgiye sahip olmaları gerekmektedir. Aksi takdirde, ebeveynlerde çocukluk dönemi cinsel istismarına yönelikmitlerin var olması çocuklarını istismardan koruma konusunda riskler oluşturabilmektedir. Bu mitlerinebeveynlerin hangi özellikleri ile ilişkili olduğunun belirlenmesi de ebeveyn eğitimi ve istismarı önlemeçalışmalarına yön verecek önemli bir konudur. Buradan hareketle, bu araştırmanın amacı, “cinsiyet, yaş, çocuk sayısı, meslek, gelir düzeyi ve cinsel istismar eğitimi alma durumuna” göre ebeveynlerin çocuklukdönemi cinsel istismarına ilişkin mit düzeylerinin değişip değişmediğini ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalışmakapsamında gönüllü 391 anne (%79.1) ve 103 baba (%20.9) olmak üzere 494 ebeveyne ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri Google Form aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Veriler SPSS aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir.Verilerin analizinde bağımsız örneklemler için t testi ve ikiden fazla grubun karşılaştırması için tek faktörlügruplararası ANOVA testi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre çocukluk dönemine ilişkin cinsel istismarmitlerinin “cinsiyet, çocuk sayısı ve gelir düzeyi” değişkenlerine göre anlamlı olarak farklılıklar gösterdiği;buna rağmen yaş, meslek ve cinsel eğitim alma durumuna göre değişmediği gözlenmiştir. Araştırmadan eldeedilen sonuçlar ilgili alanyazın ışığında tartışılmış ve araştırmacılar için önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The Childhood Sexual Abuse Myths Of Parents

Childhood sexual abuse can have significant effects on a child's physical, mental, emotional andsocial life. Unless professional support is taken, negative effects can last for many years. During this periodof the children, parents are the primary observers and responsible. For children to grow up in a healthy andsafe environment, their parents should have high awareness and sufficient knowledge of sexual abuse.Otherwise, the existence of myths about childhood sexual abuse in parents can have risks in protecting theirchildren from abuse. Determining which characteristics of parents are related to these myths is also animportant issue that will guide parental education and abuse prevention studies. The purpose of this study isto reveal whether parents' myth levels about childhood sexual abuse have changed according to "gender, age,number of children, profession, income level, and sexual abuse education". Within the scope of this study,494 parents, including 391 mothers (79.1%) and 103 fathers (20.9%), were reached. The data of the researchwere collected through Google Form. Data were analyzed via SPSS. In the analysis of the data, t-test forindependent samples and one-factor intergroup ANOVA test for comparison of more than two groups wereused. According to the findings, sexual abuse myths about childhood differ significantly according to thevariables of "gender, the number of children and income level"; However, it was observed that it did notchange according to age, profession, and sexual education. The results obtained from the study werediscussed in the light of the relevant literature and recommendations were made for the researchers.
