Bu çalışmada, 19. yüzyılda sanatçı kimliğiyle ön plana çıkan Edmond-Henri Crisinel'in yaşamı ve yapıtlarına ilişkin özgün bir metin, Fransızca'dan Türkçe'ye aktarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Jean Pierre Monnier'in kaleminden Crisinel'i okumanın ilgi çekeceği düşüncesiyle, 2 Ocak 1897'de Faoug'da başlayan ve 5 Eylül 1948'de Nyon'da biten bir yaşam, dillerarası ve kültürlerarası aktarım çerçevesinde incelenmeye çalışılmış ve yazın çevirisi ile ilgilenenlere bir örnek olarak sunulmuştur. Çeviri çalışmamızın odak noktasını, Crisinel ve yapıtlarına ilişkin kaynak metindeki düşüncelerin, dilbilimsel ve yazınsal ilke ve kurallar çerçevesinde yansıtılması oluşturmuştur. Bu bilgiler ışığında kaynak metindeki dil, kültür, ileti ve yazınsal özellikler, özgün metne bağlı kalınarak hedef dile aktarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Monnier, Edmond-Henri Crisinel'in imgelerle dolu bir dil kullanımıyla etkileyici ve akıcı bir biçimde korkusunu, iç sıkıntısını ve lanetini gözler önüne sermiştir. Şiir yazma zevki uğruna en ufak bir şeyden bile vazgeçmeyen Crisinel için her gerçek şiir, şeytan kovmadan doğmuştur. Metnimizde Alectone'a, Divagations'u oluşturan şiirlere, Le Veilleur'ün dörtlüklerine ve Bandeau Noir'ı oluşturan küçük parçalara dikkat çekilmiş ve anlamsal yapıları irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Élégie'den Nuit de Juin'e dek uzanan yıllar, şair için zorunluluğun yılları olmuş, bu noktada kendisine bahşedilen şiirsel dili ve ifade gücünü şiirlerine etkin bir biçimde yansıtmıştır

This study is intended to translate an original text on the life and works of Edmond-Henri Crisinel, who came to the fore with his artistic identity in the 19th century, from French into Turkish. Considering that it would be interesting to read Crisinel from the pen of Jean Pierre Monnier, a life which started in Faoug on January 2, 1897, and ended in Nyon on September 5, 1948 was examined from the perspective of intercultural and interlingual transfer, and it was presented as an example for those who are interested in literary translation. The focal point of our translation study is the transfer of the thoughts in the source text on Crisinel and his works within the scope of linguistic and literary principles and rules. In the light of this information, the language, culture, message and literary qualities in the source text were intended to be transferred into the target language, keeping loyal to the original text. In Edmond-Henri Crisinel’s poems which he transferred in an impressive and fluent way with a language full of images, Monnier portrayed the loneliness, helplessness, fear, chagrin and damnation of the poet. Unable to give up even any slightest thing for the sake of writing a poem, Crisinel believed that any real poem is born out of exorcising. In our text, attention is drawn to Alectone, the poems making up Divagations, the quartets of Le Veilleur and the small pieces making up Bandeau Noir, and their semantic meanings have been dealt with and analyzed. The years from Élégie to Nuit de Juin were the gruelling years of obligation for the poet, and at this point he effectively reflected in his poems the poetic language and expressive power bestowed upon him. Through this translation, we aim to present the views about Crisinel’s works and Crisinel, who is descended from those who cannot find good reasons to want to destroy the hell, in our language. We could also say that we intend to introduce Edmond-Henri Crisinel to Turkish readers along with his literary merit and values, thus introducing new forms of narrative and poets to our literature
