TARİHSEL SÜREÇ İÇERİSİNDE TÜRKİYE VE BİRLEŞİK KRALLIK’TA RAGBİ

Ragbi İngiltere’de Rugby kasabasında sınırsız oyuncu ile oynanan rakip hedefine topun atılmasının yasak olduğu rekreaktif etkinlik olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. Birkaç yıl içinde spor haline gelen ragbi Birleşik Krallık ülkelerinde benimsenmiş ve günümüzde dünyanın 107 ülkesinde yaygın hale gelmiştir. Bu araştırmanın amacı ragbi sporunun Birleşik Krallık ve ülkemizdeki gelişim ve değişim sürecini incelemektir. Derleme türünde hazırlanan bu araştırmada yerli ve yabancı literatürde ragbi sporunun ortaya çıkışından günümüze kadar olan kaynaklardan faydalanılmıştır. 1800’lü yıllarla birlikte başta İngiltere ve daha sonra Birleşik Krallık’ta kural ve sistemli ragbi sporunu ülkemiz Osmanlı İmparatorluğu himayesindeki esirler sayesinde tanımıştır. Bu dönemde oynanmış, ancak fazla gelişim kaydedememiştir. Birleşik Krallıkta geniş kitlelere yayılan ve hızla benimsenmesine rağmen, ülkemizde 2000’li yıllara kadar fazla gelişim göstermemiş olup son on yılda başta üniversite lig takımlarının kurulmasıyla tanınırlığını önemli ölçüde arttırdığı görülmektedir. Birleşik Krallık’ta ragbi sporunun sporcu, takım sayısı, ligler, halkın spora olan ilgisi, maddi kaynak aktarımı ve popüleritesi bakımından ülkemize oranla daha yüksek düzeyde gelişim gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Ragby in Turkey and The United Kingdom in The Historical Process

Rugby has emerged as a recreational activity played with unlimited players in the town of Rugby in England, where it is forbidden to throw the ball to the opponent's goal. Rugby, which has become a sport in a few years, has been adopted in the United Kingdom countries and has become widespread in 107 countries of the world today. The aim of this research is to examine the development and change process of rugby sport in the United Kingdom and our country. In the review study prepared in the review type, the resources available from the emergence of rugby sport in local and foreign literature have been used. In the 1800s, the rule and systematic sport of rugby, played primarily in England and later in the United Kingdom, was introduced in our country thanks to the captives under the auspices of the Ottoman Empire. It was played during this period, but did not make much progress. Despite its widespread adoption and widespread adoption in the United Kingdom, it did not develop much in our country until the 2000s, has significantly increased its recognition especially in the last decade with the establishment of university league teams. It has been concluded that rugby in the UK shows a higher level of development compared to our country in terms of athletes, number of teams, leagues, public interest in sports, financial resource transfer and popularity.
