Hodgkin's Disease and Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia: A Case Report
Hodgkin s disease is a distinct monoclonal malignant disorder of the lymphatic system. Autoimmune hemolyticanemia, trombocytopenia and leukopenia can be present with lymphoproliferative disease especially chronic lym- phocytic leukemia and Non-Hodgkin s lymphomas but they abnormalities rarely seen in Hodgkin s disease (1, 2).The most common hematologic finding is normocytic normochromic anemia. Various immunologic abnormalitiesincluding that immune thrombocytopenic purpura and immune neutropenia have been described in Hodgkin s dis- ease. However, autoimmune hemolytic anemia was rarely occurred in Hodking s Diseases. We reported a case whoHodgkin s disease lead to a direct coomb s positive hemolytic anemia and pancytopenia.
