Biyografi: Ötekine Yolculuk

"Biyografi: Ötekine Yolculuk" adını taşıyan bu makalede "biyografi nedir?", "insan niçin ötekini anlamak ister?", "biyografik bilginin doğası: biyografi tarih midir, yoksa edebiyat mı?" gibi sorular bağlamında, kısmen varoluşçu, kısmen de hermeneutik bir bakış açısı kullanılarak biyografinin ve biyografi yazarlığının ne anlama geldiği irdelenecektir. Bu bağlamda, biyografinin bilgi değeri, sanat değeri, ahlak değeri, varoluş değeri ve eğitim değeri üzerinde durulacaktır.

Biography: Journey Towards the Other

This article investigates what "biography" means and what it means to be a writer of biography, from a partly existentialist, and a partly hermeneutic view point. It is conducted in the context of a number of questions, such as: "why do people want to understand each other?", "what is the nature of biography: is it history or literature?" In this article, which is titled "Biography: Journey towards the Other", the focus is on biographic values as knowledge value, art value, ethical value, existential value and educational value.
