Schelling’de özgürlük-tarih ilişkisi
Bu makalede, özgürlük ve tarih arasında Schelling düşüncesinde tematize edilmiş olan kimi bağlantıları incelemekteyiz. Schelling’in özgürlüğe yaklaşımının en iyi bir şekilde insanın özerkliği ve öz-belirlemesi bakımından, tarih görüşünün ise bunun bitimsiz evrimi olarak, anlaşılabileceğini ve karakterize edilebileceğini öne sürmekteyiz. Bu evrimde sevgi hayatî bir rol oynuyor. Öz-açınsamanın devingenliği olarak sevgi Mutlak’ın kendisini doğa ve daha tanımlayıcı bir anlamda tarih olarak gerçekleştirmesinin ve dışsallaştırmasının ilkesidir. Sevgi Tanrı’yı insanlığa insanlık olarak kendisini vermeye, kendisini özgürlük olarak insanlığın büyüyen hayatında, tarihte cisimleştirmeye götüren ilkedir. Bu ise zorunlu olarak maddi, empirik dünyanın karanlığına karşı, bilinçdışı güçlere karşı, insan özgürlüğü aracılığıyla etkiyen kötülüğün potansiyel zemini olan maddeye karşı gerçekleşir.
The relation of freedom and history in schelling’s thought
In this article, I examine some crucial links between freedom and history as thematized in Schelling’s thought. I argue that his approach to freedom can be best understood and characterized in terms of the ideal of human autonomy and self-determination, and his view of history as its unending evolution. Love plays a crucial role in this evolution. Love as the motility of self-revelation is the principle of the Absolute’s realizing and externalizing itself as nature and more definitively as history. Love is the principle that leads God giving himself to humanity as humanity, embodying himself as freedom in the growing life of humanity in history and this happens necessarily against the darkness of material and empirical world, against the unconscious forces, against the matter which is the potential ground of evil becoming operative through human freedom.
