İletişim ve medya alanında yapılan araştırmaların başında, toplumun büyük çoğunluğunu etkileyen konuların yazılı ve görsel basında sunumunun nasıl yapıldığı gelmektedir. Haberlerin yazılı ve görsel basında nasıl sunulduğuna dair kullanılan yöntemlerden birisi çerçeveleme analizidir. Çerçeveleme analizi, haberlerin medyada kamuoyuna nasıl sunulduğunu ortaya koymaya çalışan bir araştırma yöntemidir. Bu çalışmada 16 Nisan 2017 anayasa değişikliği referandumuyla ilgili haberlerin Milliyet, Sözcü ve Yeni Akit gazetelerinde nasıl sunulduğu çerçeve analizi ile tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma, ilgili gazetelerin AKP, CHP ve HDP haberlerinin çerçevelenmesiyle sınırlandırılmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonucunda gazetelerin kullandıkları haber çerçevelerinde farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir.  Gazetelerin iktidar haberleri çerçevesinde, 15 Temmuz-darbe, terörist-PKK-YPG, hayır-evet ve Avrupa temaları ön plana çıkmaktadır. HDP ile ilgili haberlerde hayır, darbe-15 Temmuz, barış ve özgürlük çerçeveleri, CHP haberlerinde ise hayır, tek adam, ağır veballi evet, darbe-15 Temmuz-FETÖ çerçeveleri vurgulanmıştır. Yeni Akit gazetesi HDP’ye ve CHP’ye karşı “yalancı Kılıçdaroğlu, HDP’nin evet yalanı, ilgi görmeyen HDP mitingleri, PKK destekçisi CHP” gibi olumsuz çerçeveler inşa etmiştir.  Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ile ilgili haberler ise “referandum resti, evet oylarının önde gittiği, referandum anketleri vb.” olumlu çerçevelerde kamuoyuna sunulmuştur. Çalışmada aynı zamanda liderlerin referandum söylemlerinin hangi çerçeveler üzerinde inşa ettikleri betimlenmiştir.

At the beginning of the researches carried out in the field of communication and media is how to make the presentations in written and visual media which affect the majority of the society. One of the methods used for how news is presented at the printed and visual press is framing analysis. Framing analysis is a method of research that tries to reveal how the news is presented to the public in the media. In this study it was determined by the framework analysis of how news related to constitutional amendment referendum on 16 April 2017 was presented in Milliyet, Sözcü and Yeni Akit journals. The study is limited to the framing of AKP, CHP and HDP news of relevant newspapers. As a result of the analysis made, differences were found in the news frames used by the newspapers. In the frame of newspapers’ govermental news,’15 July coup terrorist-PKK-YPG, no-yes and European ‘themes are in the forefront. In the news about HDP no, coup-15 July, peace and freedom frames, in the news about CHP;’ bossism, yes with heavy sin,coup-15 July- FETO’ frames are emphasized. The New Akit has built negative frames against the HDP and the CHP such as: "Kılıçdaroğlu the liar,  HDP’s uncared meetingis, HDP’s (yes lie), CHP The PKK supporter while the news about the President Recep Tayyip Erdogan were presented to the public in positive frames such as "referendum challenge, the votes for yes go ahead , Referendum surveys, etc.. In the study at the same time, the frames on which the leaders built the referendum discourses are described.
