Ortadoğu’da Ataerkillik ve Erkeklik İlişkileri

Bu makalenin amacı Orta Doğu’da ataerkillik, erkeklik ve İslam arasındaki ilişkileri göstermektir. Ataerkilliğin erkekliği ya da erkekliğin ataerkilliği nasıl etkilediği tartışılmıştır. Ortadoğu bağlamında insanlar Allah’ın önünde eşittir. Fakat erkekler ve kadınlar dünyevi yaşamda aynı şanslara sahip değildirler. Çünkü dünyevi yaşamda ilişkiler ataerkillik kuralları aracılığıyla biçimlenir.

Patriarchy and Masculinity Relations in The Middle East

The aim of this article is to explore the relations between patriarchy, masculinity and Islam in the Middle East. It is argued that patriarchy affects masculinity or vice versa. In the Middle East context the people are equal in front of God. However men and women do not have the same chances in the mundane life since the relations in the mundane life are shaped through patriarchical rules.
