Bipolar duygudurum bozukluğu tanısı konan bireylerin etkilenmemiş birinci derece akrabalarındaki şizotipal özellikler

Amaç: Bipolar duygudurum bozukluğu hastalarının etkilenmemiş akrabalarındaki şizotipal özelliklerin sağlıklı kontrollerle karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Katılımcılar, bipolar bozukluk tanılı bireylerin DSM-IV-TR tanı ölçütlerine göre herhangi bir psikiyatrik tanıyı karşılamayan birinci derece akrabaları; kendisinde ve akrabalarında herhangi bir psikiyatrik bozukluk bulunmayan sağlıklılardan seçildi. Bireylerden Şizotipal Kişilik Ölçeğinin doldurulması istendi. Sonuçlar: Yakın arkadaş yokluğu, kısıtlı duygulanım ve şüphecilik alt ölçeklerinde hasta akrabalarının puanları sağlıklı kontrol grubundan anlamlı olarak daha yüksek bulundu. Kişilerarası şizotipi ve negatif şizotipi puanları hasta akrabalarında sağlıklılara göre anlamlı olarak daha yüksek saptandı. Tartışma: Çalışmamız, negatif şizotipinin bipolar bozukluk için ortak ailesel özellikler gösterebileceğini düşündürmektedir. Pozitif ve dezorganize şizotipi boyutu genetik ya da ailesel yatkınlıkla ilişkili bulunmamıştır. Şizofreni için pozitif belirti sayılan şüpheciliğin bipolar bozuklukta da ailesel özellik taşıdığı düşünülmektedir.

The schizotypal features of unaffected first degree relatives of bipolar mood disorder patients

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the schizotypal features in unaffected first degree relatives of bipolar affective patients with healthy controls. Methods: The participants were elected from the relatives of bipolar affective patients who did not meet any psychiatric diagnostic criteria among DSM-IV-TR and healthy people who did not have any psychiatric disorder or whom did not have any first degree relatives with psychiatric disorder. Results: No close friends, constricted affect, and suspiciousness subscale scores were found significantly higher in unaffected relatives of the patients than healthy controls. Interpersonal schizotypy and negative schizotypy scores were also significantly higher in relatives of the patients than healthy controls. Conclusion: Negative schizotypy is considered to be related with familiality in bipolar mood disorder in our study. Positive and disorganized schizotypy dimensions were not found to be related with familiality in bipolar mood disorders. Suspiciousness, which is thought to be a positive symptom in schizophrenia, is considered to have familial characteristics in bipolar affective disorder.
