The subject of this article is the hymn and prayer journal numbered 13229 found in Konya Metropolitan Municipality Koyunoğlu Museum and Library. According to catalog records, the work was completed by the calligrapher Mustafa Hilmî in 1284 (G. 1868). This small-volume journal consisting of twenty-two leaves is in a very good state physically and was written with a perfect line. The content of the journal consists of verse and prose texts all of which have religious characteristics. There are ten poems and twelve pieces of prose. Most of the poems, which have many inconveniences in terms of form-related features such as cadence and rhyme/repeated voice (radif), are in the form of hymn and only four have pseudonyms (Yûnus, Niyâzî, Mahfî). Proses are also composed of prayers such as forgiveness, salah, food and grave etc. as well as mühr-i şerîf (exalted seal) and virtues. The aim of our study is to eliminate -as far as possible- the uncertainties regarding this journal and its compiler based on its form and content characteristics, and thus to try to determine its place in the tradition of journal. In the study, all texts included in the work will primarily be transferred into Latin letters with transcription and thus the content of the journal will be obtained. Afterwards, the identity of the compiler of the journal will be tried to be determined through this transcription. Based on the work's physical characteristics, page designs, writing, the characteristics of the texts and the information obtained regarding its compiler, various determinations will be made about the journal. Within this scope, it will be discussed when, for what target audience and for what purpose the journal was compiled.
