Kelenderis'te Alaşım Metalurjisine Ait Buluntular

Findings Having a Metallurgical Content from Kelenderis

Kelenderis (İçel-Aydıncık) is one of the most important metallurgical material sites in metallurgy history of Turkey. Some of the most important findings and discoveries the date back to the Roman Empire. Slags as part of material content are significant indicators of physical metallurgy in a small site such us Kelenderis. Discoveries are also significant for bronze metallurgy. They are all proven according to the discoveries and all the analyzed slags are the best examples dating of that. These materials differ from those traditional ones in terms of their examples from the B.C. period. Besides all of these, slags give us information about the alloying process. All those underlined slags determined the information on the quantity, quality and characteristics of the ingot metals which used in the bronze alloy process in Kelenderis. Because of this, slags gathered from bronze alloy metallurgy in Kelenderis tell us about their progress, development and their change.
