Bebek mamaları ve çocuk ek besinlerinde Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG kullanımının sağlık üzerine etkileri

Probiyotikler, konakçı organizmanın sağlığı üzerinde olumlu etkileri kanıtlanmış ve bağırsak florasını düzenleyen canlı organizmalardır. Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG probiyotik olarak etkinliği kanıtlanmış suşlar arasındadır. Son yıllarda çocuklarda görülen ishal, diş çürükleri, alerji vb. hastalıkları azaltma ya da önlemede etkinliğinin kanıtlanması ile birlikte probiyotik bebek ve çocuk besinlerinde yaygın kullanım alanı bulmuştur. Bu derlemede Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG’nin bebek ve çocuk beslenmesindeki yeri vurgulanarak bu konuda yapılan çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG içeren yeni süt ürünlerinin geliştirilmesi ve tüketicinin bilincinin arttırılması gerektiği düşünülmektedir.

The health ımpact of using Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG in infant formulas and children's dietary supplements

Probiotics can be defined as living microorganisms of which has proved beneficial effects on health of the host and that modulate the intestinal flora. Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG is one of the widely used probiotic. In recent years the organism is frequently used in infants formulas and children’s food due to preventive and curing effects on diarrhoea, dental caries, allergy etc. In this review, the importance of Lactobacillus rhamnosus on infants and child health was emphasized and the studies on these topics are examined. In conclusion there is a need for development of novel dairy products which contain Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG and improvement of consumer consciousness.
