ÜNİVERSİTE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN SOSYAL KIRILGANLIKLARI İLE BENLİK SAYGISI ARASINDAKI İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ
Üniversite yaşamı gençlerin bir yandan değişimlerle yüz yüze kaldıkları, diğer yandan hem kişisel gelişim hem de toplumsal baskılarla başa çıkmak zorunda oldukları bir dönemdir. Bu nedenle gençlerin benlik saygıları üzerinde etkili olan psikolojik, kültürel, çevresel pek çok faktör söz konusudur. Bu faktörlerden birisi de sosyal kırılganlıktır. Bu çalışmada üniversite öğrenimi gören öğrencilerin benlik saygıları üzerinde sosyal kırılganlık düzeylerinin etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini 2016 – 2017 öğretim yılı içinde Hacettepe Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören ve araştırmaya katılmayı gönüllü olarak kabul eden 400 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri Coopersmith Benlik Saygısı Envanteri, Sosyal Kırılganlık Ölçeği ve demografik bilgi formu ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin %76.3’ü kız, %23.7’si erkek öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20 (S=1.6)’dir. Çalışmaya katılan öğrenciler arasında yurtta (%70.0) kalanların oranı yüksektir. THE INVESTIGATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL VULNERABILITY AND SELF-ESTEEM OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
University life is a period when young people face change and on the other hand they have to cope with personal development and social pressure. For this reason, there are many psychological, cultural and environmental factors that affect young people's self-esteem. One of these factors is social vulnerability. The sample of the study consists of 400 students studying at Hacettepe University in 2016 - 2017 academic year and volunteering to participate in the research. Data were collected with Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory, Social Vulnerability Scale and demographic information form. According to the findings, 76.3% of the students were female and 23.7% of the students were male. The average age of the students is 20 (S = 1.6).
