Kang You Wei, Çin'in yirminci yüzyılda yetiştirdiği en önemli entelektüel, reformcu ve siyasetçilerinden biridir. Çin'i terk etmek zorunda kalarak sürgüne gitmesinin ardından aralarında İstanbul'un da bulunduğu birçok yere seyahat etmiştir. Kang Youwei was one of the most prominent intellectuals, reformers and politicians of the 20th century China. After he left China and went to exile, he traveled to numerous countries and cities including İstanbul. He visited İstanbul in 1908 and wrote a unique and detailed travelogue about his trip.
