Spor Federasyonlarının aldığı kararlarla hakkı ihlal edilen kimselerin bu kararları Federasyon dışında başka bir merciinin önüne götürerek, hukukilik denetimi yaptır- ması zamanla zorunlu hale gelmiştir. İşte bu nedenlerle spor federasyonlarının spor faaliyetlerinin yönetimine ve disiplinine ilişkin kararlarına karşı başvuru mercii olarak Tahkim Kurulları öngörülmüştür. Ülkemizde spor hukuku alanında iki tahkim kurulundan söz etmek mümkündür. Bunlar 3289 sayılı Spor Genel Müdürlüğünün Teşkilat Ve Görevleri Hakkında Ka- nun’un Ek 9, Ek-9/A ve Geçici 11’inci maddelerine göre kurulan Spor Genel Müdür- lüğü Tahkim Kurulu, diğeri ise 5894 sayılı Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu Kuruluş Ve Görevleri Hakkında Kanun’un 6. maddesine göre kurulan Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu Tahkim Kurulu’dur.

It became in time a necessity for people whose rights are violated by the decisions of sports federations to bring their case before another authority for legal review. Due to this necessity, the Arbitral Commissions have been created against the decisions taken by Sports Federations relating to the management and discipline of sports acti- vities as authorities for appeal. It is possible to mention two Arbitral Commissions in the field of sports law in Turkey. One of them is Arbitral Commissions of General Directorate of Sports which is established in accordance with additional 9, additional-9 A and Temporary Article 11 of Law on the Organization and Functions of General Directorate of Sports. The other is Arbitral Commission of Turkey Football Federation which is established in accordance with Article 6 of Law on the Organization and Functions Turkey Football Federation.
