''OKUL TABANLI AİLE DANIŞMANLIĞI (OTAD)" MODELİNE YÖNELİK FARKINDALIK DÜZEYİ VE UYGULANABİLİRLİĞİ: NİTEL BİR ARAŞTIRMA
Okul psikolojik danışmanlarının, ailedeki olumsuz koşullardanetkilenen çocuklarla karşılaşma oranı artış göstermektedir. Ailedenkaynaklı sorunlara geleneksel okul psikolojik danışmanlığı hizmetlerininyetersiz kalması ve bu konudaki farkındalığın artmasıyla birlikte,okullarda, aile danışmanlığı modellerinin kullanıldığı “okul temelli ailedanışmanlığı (OTAD)” hizmetleri ortaya çıkmıştır.Bu çalışmanın amacı, okul danışmanlığı ve aile danışmanlığısüreçlerinin bütünleştirilmesinden oluşan "Okul Tabanlı AileDanışmanlığı (OTAD)" modeli konusundaki farkındalığın ve Türkiye'deuygulanabilirliğinin ilgili tarafların (rehber öğretmen, okul yöneticisi, velivebranşöğretmenlerinin)görüşleriyleincelenmesivedeğerlendirilmesidir. Çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerindenolgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunda 5 okul yöneticisi 3rehber öğretmen 3 öğretmen 2 öğrenci velisi olmak üzere 13 katılımcı yeralmaktadır. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıylatoplanmış ve analiz kısmında içerik analizi tekniği kullanılmıştır.Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre katılımcılar, öğrencisorunlarının genellikle aileyle ilişkili olduğunu, ailedeki sorununçözülmemesi halinde öğrencideki sorunun tam anlamıyla ortadakaldırılamayacağını, bu nedenle öğrencide var olan sorunların aileyleilişkilendirilerek ele alınması gerektiğini ifade etmişlerdir. Bununlabirlikte okul danışmanlarının aileyle çalışma konusunda yeterlikdüzeylerinin düşük olduğunu ve buna sebep olan bazı faktörlerin mevcutolduğunubelirtmişlerdir.AyrıcaTürkiye’deOTADmodelinigerçekleştirmenin mümkün olduğu ve bu modelin önemli faydalarsağlayacağı da katılımcılar tarafından ifade edilmiştir. Verilerden elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda Türk eğitim sisteminde okul tabanlı ailedanışmanlığı konusundaki farkındalığın geliştirilmesi için hizmetiçieğitimlerin artırılması, hizmet öncesi eğitim programlarında OTADmodeline yönelik öğretim programlarının yer alması ve bu modele yönelikbir altyapı oluşturulması gibi hem farkındalığı artırmaya hem deuygulanabilirliğe yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.
AWARENESS LEVEL AND APPLICABILITY OF '' SCHOOL BASED FAMILY COUNSELING '' MODEL: A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH
School psychological counselors’ encounter ratio with children affected by negative conditions in their family increases. Traditional school psychological counseling services have failed to satisfy family based problems and awareness in this subject has increased. Therefore, “school based family counseling (SBFC)” services which uses family counseling models arose in the schools. Purpose of this study is to investigate and evaluate awareness about “school based family counseling (SBFC)” model which is constituted from integration of school counseling and family counseling and applicability of SBFC in Turkey by using opinions of related people (school counselor, school administrator, parents and branch teacher). In the study, phenomenologic design which is one of qualitative research method was used. Working group was consisted of 5 school administrators, 3 school counselors, 3 teachers, 2 parents. Data were collected by semi-structured interview questionnaire and in analysis section content analysis method was used. According to findings, participants indicated that students’ problems should be considered by associating family and levels of competence of school counselors’ working with family is considerably low. Moreover, participats pointed out that it is possible to use SBFC model in Turkey and this model has important benefits. In accordance with findings, suggestions about improving awareness about school based family counseling and its applicability were presented.
