Cerrahi Hemşirelerde Merhamet ve Kültürlerarası Duyarlılığı Etkileyen Faktörler

Amaç: Bu çalışma cerrahi hemşirelerin merhamet düzeyi ve kültürlerarası duyarlılıklarını etkileyen faktörleri incelemek amacıyla yapıldı. Materyal ve Metot: Araştırma tanımlayıcı tipte bir araştırmadır. Bu araştırma Türkiye’nin doğusunda yer alan bir ildeki Devlet Hastanesi’nde Nisan- Temmuz 2017 tarihleri arasında 102 hemşirenin gönüllü katılımıyla yapıldı. Araştırmanın verileri, Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu, Kültürlerarası Duyarlılık Ölçeği ve Merhamet Ölçeği ile toplandı. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hemşirelerin Kültürlerarası Duyarlılık Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamasının 84.87±10.34 (aralık=59-105) ve Merhamet Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamasının ise 96.37±14.35 (aralık=62-117) olduğu belirlendi. Kültürlerarası Duyarlılık Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması, farklı kültürden hastaya bakım verirken sorun yaşamayanlarda, kültürlerarası hemşirelik kavramını bilenlerde ve bu konuya ilgi duyanlarda yüksek bulunmuştur. The Factors Affecting Compassion and Intercultural Sensitivity among the Surgical Nurses

Aim: This study was conducted to investigate the factors affecting the level of compassion and intercultural sensitivity among surgical nurses. Material and Method: The research is a descriptive study. It was carried out between April and July 2017 with volunteer participation of 102 nurses at a state hospital in a city located in eastern Turkey. Research data were collected using the Introductory Information Form, the Intercultural Sensitivity Scale, and the Compassion Scale. Findings: It was determined that the total average score achieved by nurses participating in the study was 84.87±10.34 (range= 59-105) on the Intercultural Sensitivity Scale and was 96.37±14.35 (range=62-117) on the Compassion Scale. The total average score on the Intercultural Sensitivity Scale was found to be high in those who didn’t have any difficulty in giving care to the patients from different cultures and who had knowledge about the transcultural nursing concept and were interested in this issue.
