The Examination of the Effects of the Economic and Social Indicators on Women’s Life Expectation

The main purpose of this study is to determine the effects of life expectancy of women on access to education, employment, average income and health by panel data analysis. The life expectancy is a subject that is particularly studied in the literature especially in development content. It is thought to be that this issue needs to be examined in specifically on women as gender studies accelerate these days. Within the scope of this study, randomly selected 7 countries with the variables of education, employment, average income, and access to health facilities, which are among the determinants of life expectancy in the literature, have been examined based on the classification of welfare regimes. In these seven randomly chosen countries with shared data sets, it was examined whether the selected variables had an effect on the life expectancy of women between 2009-2016. According to the findings, results of the analysis were similar to the literature, the employment and average income variables on the life expectation are positive, while the problems experienced in accessing the health opportunities have a negative effect.
