Pilates’in durum analizi: Eskişehir il örneği

Case analysis of pilates: Eskişehir province sample

The current study aims at determining the individuals’ opinions and the possible differences among these opinions regarding Pilates exercise programs by using “Pilates Case Analysis Scale” developed by the researchers of this study. The study population includes the members of private gymnasiums located in Eskişehir who participate in Pilates exercise programs. The sampling of the study consists of 50 Pilates Exercise program participants (20 % male and 80 % female) who were chosen by using random sampling method. In order to determine the individuals’ opinions and the possible differences among these opinions regarding Pilates exercise programs, explanatory statistics and T-test analyses were used. For the means that show differences during analyses, Levene’s test was used to evaluate the variance homogeneity of these differences. In order to determine which groups led to such differences regarding the participation reasons to Pilates exercise programs and the effects of Pilates exercises on individuals , Tukey test was applied to the values enabling variance homogeneity (p < 0.05). The results of the analyses showed that the study subjects evaluated the Pilates exercise programs differently according to their gender and years of experience in the exercise programs.
