An Investigation of Pre-Service Primary School Teachers’ Science Teaching Efficacy Beliefs

It is necessary to make the teacher candidates participate in learning process with various activities for improving their self confidance and problem solving abilities. This situation will cause teacher candidates to develop their self-reliance and to increase their self-sufficiency. So, teachers with high selfconfidance will become more successful in achieving the desires goals of education as they can rescue the course the course from a boring atmosphere and draw students attention. The aim of this research is to determine visual art school student teachers’ levels of art education self efficiency at Atatürk University KazIm Karabekir Education Faculty, Department of Fine Art Education and to determine whether this levels changing with grade, gender and the type of the high school or not. This research is the model of survey. The investigation has been used to pick up data from sample. According to the result of the research, we can say that primary school student teachers have good positions directed to levels of music education, they have self efficiency in generaly and they feel self confidence about primary school music education. The research didn’t show any meaningful differences gender or type of high school on their self efficiency belief level. The self efficiency belief level of the student teachers receiveing music education in the 3nd and 4th grades increased as they continued up to the next grade. The third and fourth grade student teachers had meaningful differences in self efficiency belief level and this difference was in favour of fourth grades.
