Accelerated Learning: A Myth Or Reality?

Accelerated Learning has been a mysterious instructional model which has been remembered with speculative claims. Accelerated Learning emphasizes that learning will enhance without anxiety, stress and prejudices. Additionally it claims that learning occurs both at conscious and subconscious planes and also working principles of human brain should be considered during instruction. Basic principles of the model are: suggestion and desuggestion, authority, infantilization, double planes, intonation, rhythm and concert. Use of suggestion, and music, emphasis on positive emotions, and subconscious processes are remarkable characteristics of the model. Although speculative claims are not supported by scientific studies, these studies indicate that accelerated learning have positive effects on learning products.
