Galileo Galilei’nin Engizisyon Davasının Roma Kilisesi Yasaklı Kitaplar Dizini Açısından Değerlendirilmesi

Bu çalışmanın fikri, Galileo’nun ünlü davasına konu olan kitapları üzerinden yürüyen genel yasaklamaları ve cezalandırılmalarının değerlendirilmesi değildir. Galileo’nun kitaplarının engizisyon içerisinde yargılama usullerinin ortaya konulması, böylece, yargılama ve davanın hangi kurumsal ve hukuki çerçevede yürüdüğünü ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla, dava konusu kitabın Roma kilisesi Yasaklı Kitaplar Dizini (Index Librorum Prohibitorum) tarafından kurumsal bir yapıda işlenmesi ve kitapların yasaklanmasının süreçleri üzerinden ortaya konulmuştur

One of the Most Polemical Subject of the History of Science: Galileo Galilei’s Inquisition Trial and Its Relation with Index of Prohibited Books and Book History Studies

This article’s idea is not to make a consideration for the trial of Galileo Galilei’s books and thoughts, but to consider on trial consequences and prohibitions of Galileo’s books as a part of Roman Church Index of Prohibited Books (Index Librorum Prohibitorum) and to argue about prohibition processes of Roman Church’s political and administrative system and Inquisition trial proceeding of prohibition of his books.
