Kariyer Planlaması Sürecine Destek: “meslegimiseciyorum.org” Web Portalına İlişkin Kullanıcı Görüşleri

Meslek seçimi, seçeneklerin arttığı günümüz dünyasında günden güne zorlaşan bir süreçtir. Çeşitlenen meslek alanları, mesleklerin gerektirdiği nitelikler bireylerin uzun bir gözlem ve farkındalık dönemine ihtiyaç duymasına neden olmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, meslekleri tanımak ve çeşitlenen iş olanaklarına hâkim olabilmek için bireylerin bilgilenmeye ve yeterli meslekî olgunluk düzeyine ulaşmaları için de kendilerini tanımaya ihtiyaçları vardır. Bu araştırmada, lise öğrencilerinin kendilerini tanımaları ve meslekî olgunluk düzeylerini geliştirmeleri amacıyla yürütülen bir kariyer planlanma programının destek aracı olarak hazırlanan web sitesinin kariyer planlaması sürecinde kullanışlılığı incelenmiştir. Betimsel tarama modelindeki araştırmada rehber öğretmen ve lise öğrencilerinden oluşan toplam 32 kullanıcıdan toplanan nicel ve nitel verilerin analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre; kullanıcıların “meslegimiseciyorum.org” web sitesine ilişkin değerlendirmelerinin olumlu olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte, katılımcıların sitenin modüllerini içerik niteliği ve arayüz özellikleri açısından kullanışlı ve yeterli buldukları belirlenmiştir. Sitede, “Meslek Alanları” ve “Kendini Tanıma” modüllerinin kullanıcılar tarafından en beğenilen modüller olarak ifade edildiği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda teknoloji destekli ortamların kariyer planlamasındaki katkıları tartışılmıştır.

The choice of profession is a process that is getting harder day by day in today’s world where career options are increasing, too. The diversity of professions and the qualifications required by professions cause individuals need a long period of observation and awareness. In this context, individuals need to be informed in order to know the professions and master the diversified job opportunities, and also to know themselves in order to attain a sufficient level of professional maturity. In this research, the usefulness of the website, which is prepared as a support tool of a career planning program aimed at the recognition of high school students and their professional maturity levels, was examined in the career planning process. In the research as the descriptive survey model, the quantitative and qualitative data collected from a total of 32 users consisting of guidance teachers and high school students were analyzed. According to the findings of the study, it was determined that the users have found the website “meslegimiseciyorum.org” as useful. They also perceived the modules as useful and adequate in terms of content quality and interface characteristics. The “Occupational Fields” and “Self-Recognition” modules was defined by the users as the most admired modules. Within the findings of the research, the contributions of technology-supported environments in career planning were discussed.
