İŞYERİNDE DIŞLANMANIN AİLE YAŞAM TATMİNİNE ETKİLERİ: İŞ-AİLE AYRIMI TERCİHLERİNİN VE İŞ-AİLE ÇATIŞMASININ ROLÜ

Araştırmamız kamu ve özel sektör çalışanlarında işyerinde dışlanmanın aile yaşam tatminine etkisinde iş-aile ayrım tercihlerinin düzenleyici ve iş-aile çatışmasının aracı rolünün açıklanması amacıyla İstanbul İlinde kamu sektörü ve özel sektörde karşılaştırmalı olarak yapılmıştır. Liu vd.

The Effect of Workplace Ostracism on Family Satisfaction: The Role of Work-Home Segmentation Preferences and Work-to-Family Conflict

In our study we have investigated the impact of workplace ostracism as perceived by employees on their family satisfaction by examining the mediating role of work-to-family conflict and the moderating role of work home segmentation preferences. We have analysed the 406 questionnaires that we have collected. from both private and public sector employees in Istanbul, Turkey and compared the findings. Our study is a replication of the study of Liu et al. (2003). We have found out that perceived workplace ostracism is positively and significantly related to their work-to family conflict and the work-home segmentation has a mediating effect on this relationship by both the public and private sector employees. The workplace ostracism has a negative and significant effect on the family satisfaction. We have also found out that the workplace ostracism increases the work-family conflict and the work-family conflict decreases the family satisfaction. The work-family conflict partially mediated this relationship. Our results are consistent with the results of the study of Liu et al. (2013).
