A study on extending the Values Education program in preschool

2012- 2013 eğitim-öğretim yılında Turgut Özal Üniversitesi ve AnkaraMilli Eğitim Müdürlüğünün ortaklaşa yürüttüğü Değerler Eğitimi Projesikapsamında 200 okul öncesi öğretmenine eğitim veril miştir. Öğretmenlerinsınıflarında uygulamaları ve olumlu dönütler elde ettiklerini belirtmeleriyleokul öncesi öğrencileri için geliştirilen Değerler Eğitimi Programı, 2013 -2014eğitim öğretim yılında öğretmenlerden ve Ankara Milli EğitimMüdürlüğünden gelen talepler doğrultusunda Ankaranın 19 i lçesindeyaygınlaştırılmıştır. Bu yaygınlaştırma çalışması kapsamında daha önce eğitimalmış olan 19 öğretmen formatör olarak yetiştirilmiştir. Formatör öğretmenlerilçelerde bulunan öğretmenlere eğitim vermişlerdir. İlçelerdeki öğretmenlereğitim sürecinde programı sınıflarında uygulamışlardır. Bu araştırmadaformatör öğretmenlerden eğitim alarak programı sınıflarında uygulayanöğretmenlerin Değerler Eğitimi Programına yönelik düşüncelerini ortayakoymak ve buradan yola çıkılarak programın formatörler tarafından eğitimverilmesi suretiyle yaygınlaştırılması durumunda or taya çıkabilecek sonuçlarlailgili bilgi sahibi olunması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında, eğitimler veöğretmenler tarafından sınıfta gerçekleştirilen uygulamalar tamamlandıktansonra Değerler Eğitimi Programı eğitimi almış olan 237 öğretmenden aldıklarıeğitimi ve programı değerlendirmeleri istenmiş ve öğretmenler projedeğerlendirme formunu doldurarak araştırmacılara ulaştırmışlardır.Araştırmacılara 88 form ulaşmıştır. Öğretmenlerin program ve formatöröğretmenlerden almış oldukları eğitime yönelik görüşleri bu 88 formkapsamında değerlendirilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin uyguladıkları program vealdıkları eğitime yönelik görüşlerine yönelik olarak araştırmacılar tarafındangeliştirilen Öğretmen Değerlendirme Formu ve Kişisel Bilgi Formukullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda,bazı öğretmenlerin yaşamış olduklarıbirtakım zorluklar olmakla birlikte genelde programa ilişkin olumlu görüşbelirttikleri, programın yaygınlaştırılması ve araştırmacıların değilformatörlerin eğitim vermesi durumunda da eğitime katılan öğretmenlerinolumlu kazanımlar elde ettiği, sınıflarındaki uygulamaların sonuçlarındanverim aldıklarını düşündükleri dolayısıyla programın Türkiye genelindeyaygınlaştırma çalışmalarına başlanabileceği düşünülmektedir.

Okul öncesinde değerler eğitimi programının yaygınlaştırılması üzerine bir araştırma

Within the scope of the Education of Values Project conducted by Turgut ÖzalUniversity and the Ankara Directorate of National Education, 200 preschool teacherswere trained during the 2012-2013 academic year. In accordance with the positivefeedback from thes e teachers in terms of their applications in their classrooms, thetraining is generalized in 19 districts of Ankara.As part of this project, 19 teachers whoattended previous trainings were trained as formatter teachers.These formatter teacherseducated teachers within the districts. These teachers in the districts applied the programin their classrooms during the education process. The purpose of the present study wasto gain information about the results that might come up regarding the ideas of theteachers who were trained by the formatters when they applied the Program ofEducation of Values in their classrooms. In the present study, 237 teachers were askedto evaluate the training they had via the Project Evaluation Form after completing thetraining regarding the Education of Values. From the pool of these 237 teachers, 88 ofthese forms were completed and returned to the researchers, so that the opinions of theteachers trainings given by formatters were evaluated depending on theseforms.Considering the training they had and the program applied, the TeacherEvaluation and Personal Information Forms developed by the researchers, were thetools used to collect the data. In the present study the teachers generally stated positiveopinions, and c onsidered the program useful even when it is extended and taught notonly by teachers but also by the formatters.
