Hizmetkâr Liderliğin Örgütsel Vatandaşlık Davranışına Etkisi: Istanbul ve Afyonkarahisar’daki Beş Yıldızlı Otel Işletmelerinde Bir Araştırma

Bu araştırmanın amacı, otel işletmelerindeki yöneticilerin hizmetkâr liderlik davranışlarının örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırma kapsamında veriler, İstanbul ve Afyonkarahisar'da toplam 513 işgörenden anket yöntemiyle elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sonucunda, hizmetkâr liderlik ile örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı arasında pozitif yönlü orta düzeyde bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu kapsamda hizmetkar liderlik davranışlarından güçlendirme, vizyon ve güven davranışlarının işgörenlerin örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışını olumlu yönde etkilediği, sevgi ve fedakarlık davranışlarının ise örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı üzerinde olumlu bir etkiye sahip olduğu saptanamamıştır. Araştırma sonucunda İstanbul'daki işgörenlerin hizmetkâr liderliğin alt boyutlarından olan güven boyutuna ilişkin algıları ve örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı düzeyleri Afyonkarahisar'daki işgörenlere göre daha olumlu olduğu görülmektedir. Ayrıca katılımcıların hizmetkâr liderlik algılarının eğitim seviyelerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu belirlenirken, diğer bireysel özelliklerine ilişkin görüşlerde anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği belirlenmiştir.

The Effect of Servant Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: Study in Five Star Hotel Enterprises in Istanbul and Afyonkarahisar

he aim of this study is to identijâ/ the eflects of servant leadership qualities of managers on organizational citizenship behavior in hotel enterprises. In the scope of the research, the data was obtainedfrom 513 employees in Istanbul and Afi/onkarahisar in 2013 by employing questionnaire techniques. As a result of data analysis, a moderate positive relationship between servant leadership and organizational citizensh ipbehavior was detected. In this context, it is found that while empowerment, vision and trust behaviors influence employees’ organizational citizenship behavior positively, no positive impact of agapao love and altruism behavior on organizational citizenship behavior was detected. It is seen that, the perceptions of employees on the trust which is one of sub-dimensions of servant leadership and the level of organizational citizenship behavior perceptions in Istanbul is more positive than employees in Afi/onkarahisar. In addition, while significant diflerence is identified in employees’ servant leadership perceptions according to their education levels, no significant difference was observed in consideration with their other individual characteristics.
