Swanson's Theory of Caring in the Care of Miscarriage

Nursing models offer holistic care for individuals by systematizing nursing practices. Additionally, these models not only plan care for the individuals but also help nurses think. By building a bridge between the individual and nurse, Swanson's Theory of Caring contributes to speeding up the individual's healing process, understanding the hardships through which individual has gone, getting over the tragic events that individual has experienced, and building the individual's conŞ dence for future. In addition to them, it also guides nurses by mentioning how to contact individual's family and team members and how to deal with the caring process. The Ş ve processes of the theoryıı-knowing, being with, doing for, enabling, and maintaining beliefıı-provide individualoriented care. Nursing care based on Swanson's Theory of Caring helps women with miscarriages regain their general well-being faster. Due to the fact that Swanson's Theory of Caring has contributed to women with miscarriages, this compilation is intended to provide information that is related to the theory.
