Elazığ, Malatya ve Tunceli illerinde koyunlarda görülen abort vakalarında pestivirusların rolünün araştırılması

Bu çalışmada; Elazığ, Malatya ve Tunceli illerinde koyunlardan elde edilen abort örneklerinden pestivirüs (Border disease; BD ve bovine viral diarrhoea virus; BVDV) prevalansının antijen enzim linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) ile belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Toplam 160 örneğin ELISA ile çalışılması neticesinde örneklerin 36 (%22.5)’sı pestivirüs antijen varlığı yönünden pozitif tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, pestivirüslerin Elazığ, Malatya ve Tunceli illerindeki koyunlarda abortların etiyolojisinde önemli oldukları belirlenmiştir.

Investigation of the role of pestiviruses in abort cases of sheep at Elazığ, Malatya and Tunceli Provinces

The present study was aimed for determining the prevalance of pestiviruses (Border disease; BD and bovine viral diarrhoea virus; BVDV) by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method in samples collected from abort cases in sheep in Elazığ, Malatya and Tunceli. As a result of this study, 36 (22.5%) of 160 animals were found positive for pestivirus. The results inidcates that, pestiviruses are important agent in etiology of sheep abortion in Elazığ, Malatya and Tunceli provinces.
