ANALİTİK DİN FELSEFESİNDE BİR PROBLEM OLARAK DUA

Bu makale çağdaş analitik din felsefesinde duanın, felsefi bir problem olarak nasıl ele alındığıyla ilgilidir. Duanın farklı türleri vardır, ancak, her şeye gücü yeten, her şeyi bilen, iyive özgür bir Tanrı’dan, insanın dünyevi bir istekte bulunması şeklindeki dua (petitionaryprayer), felsefi bir problem olarak görünür. Bu makalede öncelikli olarak problemin ne olduğu belirlenmeye çalışılırken onun, Tanrı’nın sıfatları ile ilgili yönleri ele alınmış ve şusorular izlenmiştir: Tanrı her şeyi bilen, mükemmel iyi bir varlık ise ve her zaman insanıniyiliğini istiyorsa, O’na bir iyilik için dua etmenin anlamı nedir? Tanrı, özgür ve değişmezise, duanın gerçekten etkin bir şey olduğu söylenebilir mi? Kişinin, Tanrı’nın duaları kabulettiğine rasyonel bir biçimde inanması ne kadar mümkündür? Bu sorular analitik din felsefesinde, dua ile ilgili öne çıkan sorulardır. Problemi belirledikten sonra probleme ilişkinsunulan çözüm önerilerinden sonuca bağlı, deontolojik ve ilahi inayete bağlı çözümlerüzerinde durulmuştur. Her bir çözümün nasıl savunulduğu ve eksik yönleri ele alınırken,muhtemel bir çözümde ne gibi özellikler olması gerektiği değerlendirilmiştir.

The Problem of Petitionary Prayer in Analytic Philosophy of Religion

This article is about petitionary prayer as a philosophical problem in contemporary analytical philosophy of religion. There are different types of prayer, but petition from a God who is omnipotent, omniscient, good and supremely free appears to be a philosophical problem. In this article, while trying to determine what the problem is, the aspects of the problem related to the attributes of God are dealt with and the following questions are followed: What is the meaning of praying for God if he knows everything, and is good being? Can it be said that prayer is a truly effective thing if God is superiorly free and immutable? How possible is it for a person to rationally believe that God answers to prayers? These questions are prominent questions about petitionary prayer in the analytical philosophy of religion. In this article, after determining the problem, solutions based on the results, deontological solutions and solutions based on divine providence were emphasized. It was evaluated how each solution was defended and what features should be in a possible solution.
