Belirlenen Bir Rotada Zihinde Küp (Zar) Döndürme: Teşhis

This is a study of the ability for spatial orientation of 10-11 year-old students. The sample includes 163 4th graders. The test consists of 16 tasks for the rotation of a cube (die) along a specified route. The tasks are classified into 3 main groups according to the number of the moves (1, 2, 3); the types of the moves (unidirectional, non-unidirectional); visibility or invisibility of the first falling rotational wall of the die. The students who did the test were asked to apply 3D mental rotation in solving the test tasks. The analysis of the results showed a good and an acceptable level of reliability of the test (0.82). There are no statistically significant differences between the results achieved both by girls and boys.
