Bilateral Percutaneous Nephrolithotripsy in A Patient With Spinal Deformity
Nephrolithiasis is a common disease. It is reported higher than Western civilization with a prevalence of 14.8% in our country. As a minimal invasive surgery, Percutaneous nephrolithotripsy (PNL) is used in the treatment of nephrolithiasis. PNL procedure is progressed by means of technique and equipment in years, and become the preferred surgical method for the treatment of high volume renal stones. Today, open surgery is only required for less than 1% of patients with nephrolithiasis with the improvement of PNL and other minimal invasive techniques. Although, anatomical anomalies are still indications for open surgery in the treatment of renal stone disease, we think that PNLcould be used as a minimal invasive technique for the selected patients with lower morbidity. In this case report, we tried to present our experience of bilateral PNL in a cerebral palsy patient with rotascoliosis
