Metropolis Peristilli Ev Mimarisi ve Seramik Buluntuları

Metropolis antik kentinin güney yamaçlarında ortaya çıkarılan Peristil avlulu bir konut birimi, Roma Dönemi kent dokusu hakkında önemli bilgiler vermektedir. Tiyatro yakınında bulunan evlerin ızgara kent planına bağlı olarak insula sisteminde inşa edildiği görülmektedir. Yaklaşık 24x32 metre ölçülerindeki yapıda, Peristil avlunun yanı sıra bir de atrium bulunmaktadır. Bu durum yapının geniş bir alana yayıldığını ve varlıklı yurttaşlar tarafından kullanıldığını akla getirmektedir. Mimari özelliklere ve ele geçen buluntulara bağlı olarak, yapının MÖ 1. yüzyıl'dan MS 3. yüzyıl'a kadar üç farklı dönemde kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Peristil konut öncesine ait yapı katı sadece tek bir mekânda rastlanmasına rağmen, Peristil sonrası tadilat evresinde ise birçok yerde duvar eklentileri ve mekânsal bölünmeler görülmektedir

[THE ARCHITECTURE AND POTTERY OF THE PERISTYLE HOUSE AT METROPOLIS]

A peristyle house uncovered on the southern slopes of the ancient city of Metropolis, provides important information on the urbanism of the Roman Period. It is seen that the houses near the theater were built on the insula system depending on the grid city plan. There are an atrium as well as a peristyle in the building measuring approximately 24x32 m. This suggests that the structure has spread to the large area and is used by propertied citizens. Depending on the architectural features and uncovered findings, it was understood that there were used in three different periods from the 1st century BC until the 3rd century AD. Although a structural layer before the peristyle housing was found on the one place, the wall additions and spatial divisions are seen in many places in the post-peristyle renovation period
