Çocuklarda meningokoksik hastalık

Meningokoksik hastalık çocuklarda mortalitenin en önemli nedenlerinden biridir. Erken tanı, erken antibiyotik tedavisi, erken ve agresif volüm resüsitasyonu, fizyolojik ve laboratuvar parametrelerinin normalleştirilmesine özen gösterilmesi ve hemen çocuk yoğun bakım ünitesine gönderilmesi mortalitede çarpıcı azalma sağlar.

Meningococcal disease in children

Meningococcal disease remains a major cause of mortality in children in the worldwide. Early antibiotic therapy, aggressive early volume resuscitation, meticulous attention to the normalization of all physiological and laboratory parameters and prompt referral to pediatric intensive care may lead to a sharp reduction in mortality.
