Kardiyak kist hidatik

Cardiac hydatic cyst

Cardiac hydatid cysts are rare complications of echinococcus infection. Affected petients may be asymptomatic or they may die suddenly. Because of fatal consequences, surgical excision is generally recommended, even for asymptomatic patients. Very few cases of cardiac hydatidosis are reported so we describe a patient with intramyocardial hydatid cyst lying in the posterio-inferior segment of the left ventricle.
