A case of pronator teres muscle with four heads

In our study we found pronotor teres muscle with four heads in the forearm of an adult male cadaver. The first and the second heads of the muscle were originated from the epicondylus medialis of humerus with the flexor carpi radialis muscle, the third head was originated from the condylus medialis of humeri while the fourth one was originated from the proximal part of the ulna. N. medianus entered to the forearm between the third and fourth heads of the muscle. Knowing the variations of m.pronator teres and the relationship between the n. medianus and the muscle is clinically very important to evaluate the cases with "pronator syndrome".
