CUSTOMER FOCUS AND STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP IN THE CONTEXT OF PUBLIC SERVICE

Globalization of the economic space and the integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan into the world economic community make it urgent to find sources of competitive advantages that would be sustainable and difficult to reproduce. Strategic leadership is the ability to anticipate the future, to be flexible, to think strategically, and to collaborate with others to make changes that enhance the competitiveness of an organization.The article discusses approaches to the definition of «customer focus». The key features of strategic leadership are defined as a strategy of effective activity of the state organization. It is considered in conditions of weak protection from political influence, bureaucratic practices, lack of leadership qualities and the value of public services, the importance of the art of using the strategy proposed by strategic management, which can serve as a good tool for the success of the reform system in the public sector, as well as improving the capacity and efficiency of public service.
