Epididimal maturasyonun seminal parametrelerle ilişkisi

Epididimis fonksiyonlarının sperm fonksiyon ve morfolojisine etkileri araştırılmak üzere, Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Üroloji Anabilim Dalı ve infertilite Teşhis ve Tedavi Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezine çocuk sahibi olamama yakınması ile başvuran 50 ardışık çiftin erkeklerinin alındığı bir çalışma yapıldı. Olgulardan her birine, epididimis fonksiyonlarının durumunu göstermek için a-glukozidaz testi uygulandı. Sperm hücrelerinin fonksiyon ve morfolojik özelliklerinin saptanması içinse, spermogram ile elde edilen sayı, morfoloji ve motilite parametrelerine ek olarak hipoozmolar şişme testi ile sperm membran bütünlüğü, eosin Y vitalite testi ile sperm canlılığı tayini yapıldı. Sonuç olarak epididimislerin sperm maturasyonunda önemli rolleri bulunduğu, epididimis fonksiyon bozukluklarında ise germ hücrelerinin canlılıklarında ve morfo-fonksiyonlarmda önemli bozulmaların gelişerek infertiliteye neden olabileceği, bu nedenle infertilite araştırmasında epididimisde fonksiyon bozukluğuna yol açabilecek faktörlerin ve bu bozuklukların spermatogenez ile germ hücreleri üzerine etkilerinin detaylı olarak araştırılması gereği bulunduğu kanısına varılmıştır.

Relation of epididymal maturation and seminal parameters

A study designed to investigate the impact of epididymal functions on spem function and morphology on 50 sequential males of couples who admitted with complaint of infertility to Ankara University, Faculty of medicine, Department of Urology and Research Center on Infertility. In each case, a-glukozidaz test is performed to determine epididymal function. In addition to number, morphology, and motility parameters obtained by spermogram test, hypoosmolar swelling test and eosin Y vitality test is also performed to determinate sperm functions. As a result, it's convinced that epididymis has an important role on sperm maturation, and in cases of epididymal pathologies, these may be cause of infertility because of diminished germ cell vitality, and prominent deterioration in morpho-functionality. It's suggested that factors leading functional disorders in epididymis and effects of these factors on spermatogenesis and germ cells must be investigated in infertility research in detail.
