Türkiye’de lisans düzeyindeki hemşirelik okullarında yoğun bakım hemşireliği eğitimi

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki hemşirelik okullarının müfredat ders programlarında yoğun bakım hemşireliği dersinin yer alıp almadığına ilişkin güncel durumu belirlemektir. Tanımlayıcı nitelikteki araştırmada, 2007 yılında, Türkiye’de bulunan 83 adet lisans düzeyinde eğitim veren hemşirelik okullarından 78’i örneklem kapsamına alınmıştır. Veriler internet, telefon ve faks yolu ile elde edilmiştir. 5 hemşirelik okuluna ulaşılamadığı için örnek-lem dışı bırakıldı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde sayı ve yüzdelik testi kullanılmıştır. Türkiye’de 68 sağlık yüksekokulu, 13 hemşirelik yüksek-okulu, 2 adet Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi’ne bağlı hemşi-relik bölümü bulunduğu belirlenmiştir. Ülkemiz hemşire-lik okullarından sadece 8 (%10,2) ’inde yoğun bakım hemşireliği dersi verildiği saptanmıştır. 8 hemşirelik okulundan 6’sında teorik, 1’inde müfredat programında ilgili dersin uygulama, 1’inde ise teori ve uygulama saatinin olduğu saptanmıştır. ECTS kredilerinin ise 0-4 arasında değiştiği belirlenmiştir. Türkiye’de lisans düzeyinde hemşirelik eğitimi veren hemşirelik okullarının müfredatının, geleneksel eğitim anlayışından uzaklaşılarak bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişme- lere, sağlık bakım gereksinimlerine, sağlık bakımı sistemi ve politikasına, değişen demografik özelliklere göre yeniden düzenlenmeli ve uluslararası düzeyde standardi-zasyonu sağlanmalıdır.

Critical care nursing education at undergraduate level in nursing schools in Turkey

The purpose of this study was to determine the current situation that there has been critical care nursing lesson or not in course programmes in nursing schools’ curriculum of Turkey. In this descriptive study, 78 nursing schools were taken in sample group out of 83 nursing schools at undergraduate level in Turkey in 2007. Data were collected via online, telephone and fax and were expressed using numbers and percentages. Five nursing schools were excluded in this study. It was found that there were 68 school of health (includes department of nursing), 13 school of nursing and 2 faculty of health sciences (includes department of nursing). It was determined that only 8 (10,2%) nursing schools in Turkey had ‘Critical Care Nursing’ lesson in their curriculums. About six nursing schools out of eight had only theoretic course, one school had just practice and one nursing school had both theoretic course and practice. ECTS credits changed between 0-4 credits. Curriculum of the nursing schools at undergraduate level in Turkey ought to be readjusted according to scientific and technologic improvements, healthcare needs, healthcare system and policy and changing demographic characters as quitting traditional curriculum at current and should be by providing standards at international level.
