Acid catalyzed organosolv delignification systems

In conventional chemical pulping processes, sulfurous chemicals have used and those have very high investment and operational costs. Many researches have been carried out for developing organic formulation mixture with acid as catalyses to develop new alternative a pulping process. Acid catalysed organasolv pulping reactions are based on depolimerization of lignin that is acid hydrolyeses of alpha and beta aryl ether linkgages. In this study, worldwide, alternative new pulping processes that have labaratory and small mill trial results success have been evaluated. In this sense, Asam, Acetosolv, Formacell, Ester ve Milox organosolv pulping processes have been studied. Each process has its own characteristics. But these are generally less complicated and have many advantages compare to conventional processes.
