Küçük Ölçekli Konaklama İşletmelerinin Performansında Belirleyici Olan Unsurlar

Araştırmanın amacı, küçük ölçekli konaklama işletmelerinin performansı üzerinde belirleyici olan etmenleri ortaya koymaktır. Bu kapsamda öncelikle küçük ölçekli işletmelerin etkinlikleri karşılaştırmalı analiz edilmiş, sonrasında ise etkin ve etkin olmayan işletmelerin ayırt edici özellikleri ortaya koyulmuştur. Araştırma verileri Türkiye’nin en önemli turizm bölgelerinden biri olan Manavgat’ta faaliyet gösteren 24 konaklama işletmesinden yüz yüze görüşme yoluyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde girdi odaklı Veri Zarflama Analizi ve parametrik olmayan fark testleri kullanılmıştır. Analizler sonunda sadece 6 otelin etkin, kalan 18 otelin ise etkin olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte denize yakınlık, tekrar gelen müşteri oranları, doluluk oranları, faaliyet şekli ve pansiyon türü bakımından etkin ve etkin olmayan işletmeler arasında anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

The Determinants of Performance in Small-Scale Accommodation Enterprises

The aim of the research is to determine the factors that affect the performance of small-scale accommodation enterprises. In this context first of all, the efficiency of small-scale enterprises was revealed comparatively, and then the distinguishing features of efficient and inefficient enterprises were determined. The data was collected through face-to-face interviews from 24 accommodation establishments operating in Manavgat, which is one of Turkey's most important tourism destination. Input-oriented Data Envelopment Analysis and non-parametric difference tests were used for the data analysis. As a result of the analysis, only 6 hotels were found to be efficient while the remaining 18 hotels were found to be inefficient. Besides, it is concluded that there are significant differences between efficient and inefficient enterprises in terms of sea distance, repeating customer rate, occupancy rate, type of activity and board type.
