MIZRAK ATAN İSKİT KRALI TASVİRLİ KERKİNİTİS BRONZ ŞEHİR SİKKESİ

Bu çalışmanın konusu şimdiye kadar yanlış ya da eksik biçimde teşhis edilen bu sikke tipini nümismatik ve arkeolojik kanıtların ışığında yeniden teşhis edip değerlendirmektir. Bahse konu sikke tipinin at üzerinde mızrak atan İskit süvari tasvirlerinin yegâne nümismatik eşleşmesi, sikke üzerinde resmedilen pantolonlu süvarinin İskit kralı Ataias'ın kendi tasviri ve bu sikkenin pantolonlu İskit süvari tasvirli iki bronz sikkeden biri olduğu gibi hususlar ortaya konulmuştur. Belirttiğim özellikleri sebebiyle bu sikkenin Türk Eskiçağı=İskit nümismatiği için benzersiz bir öneme sahip bulunduğu açıktır

Cercinitis Bronze City Coin With Spear-Throwing Scythian King Depiction

The point of this work is the revaluation of this coin, whose examination was to this point incorrect or incomplete, in the light of current evidence in archeology and numismatics. Point such as its being the only numismatical match of spear-throwing Scythian horsemen, the horseman in trousers being King Ataias own depiction and its being one of two coins bearing this depiction have been made. Because of the features mentioned above, it is clear that this coin is of vital importance to Turkic Ancient period and Scythian numismatics
