Şuara tezkireleri edebiyat tarihimizin önemli kaynakları arasında yer almaktadır. Esad Mehmed Efendi'nin Şâhidü'l-müverrihîn adlı eserinin iki nüshasının (Millet Ktp., Ali Emirî, Tarih Böl. 362-B (N) ve 363 P) sonunda "Terâcim-i Mecelle-i Şuarâ" adıyla bu eserden ayrı bazı şairler hakkında bilgi veren bir tezkire taslağı bulunmaktadır. Tezkire sayılabilecek bu eserde 59 şair hakkında kısa bilgiler yer almaktadır. Şairler hakkında verilen bilgiler çok yetersiz olsa da tarih düşüren şairlere işaret etmesi önemlidir. Terâcirn-i Mecelle-i Şuarâ, tamamlanmamış veya tamamlanmaya fırsat bulunamamış bir tezkirenin notları olarak değerlendirilebilir. Bu bilgilerden sonra Terâcim-i Mecelle-i Şuarâ, Türkçe Şuarâ Tezkireleri arasında sayılabilir.

The biographies of poets are amongst the important sources of our literature history. There appears a biography note informing us about various poets with the name "Terâcim-i Meceile-i Şuarâ" in two of the copies of Şâhidü'l-müverrihîn by Esad Mehmed Efendi. There is brief information about 59 poets inthis work, which can be counted for a biography. Even though the information about the poets is insuffient, it is important that it points to the choronogram composer poets. Terâcim-i Mecelle-i Şuarâ can be described as biographical notes that could not be completed. Following this information, it will be necessary to evaluate Terâcirn-i Mecelle-i Şuarâ among the Turkish Poet biographies.
