Fedâyî, 16. yüzyılda Burdur'da doğmuş bir Mevlevî divan şairidir. Asıl adı Muhammed'dir. H.900/M.1494'te Burdur'da doğmuş ve H.985/M.1577'de vefat etmiştir. Mezarı, sağlığında yaptırdığı ve sonradan yanan Mevlevî dergâhının arsası üzerindedir. Fedâyî, genç yaşta Mevlevîlik tarikatına girer. Eğitimini ve çilesini tamamlayıp icazet aldıktan sonra Burdur'da bir Mevlevîhane yaptırır ve orada şeyh olur. Bağdat ve Irak'a giderek Fuzulî-i Bağdadî ve Irak şairleriyle görüşür. Bir gazeline Fuzulî'nin nazire yazdığı bildirilmektedir. Fedâyî'nin Divan'ı olduğuna dair bir kayıt yoktur. Ancak dostları ve sevenleri arasında okunan şiirlerinin bulunduğu bildirilmektedir. Fuzulî'nin tanzir ettiği bildirilen gazeli dışında başka bir şiirine rastlanamamıştır.

Fedâyî was a Mevlevî divan poet who was born in the 16th century. His real name was Muhammed. He was born in Burdur in H.900/M.1494 and he died in H.985/M.1577. He had a Mevlevî dergah built when he was alive but later it caught fire. His grave was near the area of this dergah. Fedâyî attended to the Mevlevî tarikat (religious order) when he was young. After graduating from this tarikat, he had a Mevlevihane built in Burdur and became a sheikh there. He went to Baghdat and Iraq, and met Fuzulî-i Baghdadi and the poets of Iraq. It is known that Fuzulî had written a nazire for one of his gazelles. There is no record stating that Fedâyî had a divan. However, it has been told that he had some poems which where read by his friends. Any of his poems, except his gazelle for which Fuzulî had written a tanzir, could be found.
