BLOKZİNCİR TEKNOLOJİSİ VE GAZETECİLİĞİN GELECEĞİ

Blokzincir teknolojisi Bitcoin ve benzeri kripto paraların Türkiye’de son zamanlarda çok tartışılır hale gelmesiyle gündeme gelmiştir. Esasen sadece sanal paraların işlerliğini mümkün kılmaktan ibaret bir teknoloji değildir. Her geçen gün yeni bir sektör, blokzincir teknolojisini kendi süreçlerine adapte etmektedir. Zincirleme bir modele dayanan ve kırılamayan Blokzincir teknolojisi, bir merkeze bağlı olmadan işlem yapılmasına olanak sağlamaktadır. Blokzincir teknolojisinde veriler tüm kullanıcıların bilgisayarlarında dağıtık olarak saklanmaktadır ve merkezi bir veri tabanı olmadığı için kaybolma çalınma riski de ortadan kalkmaktadır. Son zamanlarda gazetecilik ve yayımcılık sektörü Blokzincir teknolojisine dayanan birtakım yeni oluşumlara sahne olmaktadır. Yeni medyanın etkisiyle gazetecilik sürekli zarar eden bir sektör haline gelmiş, bu zararı telafi etmek isteyen gazetecilik oluşumları, reklam gelirine bağımlı hale gelmiştir. Yalan ve kalitesiz haber içerikleri okuyucuyu küstürmüştür. Gazeteciliğin içerisine düştüğü krizden çıkabilmesi için umut vaat eden fraksiyonel ödeme biçimi Blokzincir teknolojisi ile mümkündür. Silinmez ve üçüncü kişilerin ulaşamadığı kayıtlar tutmaya müsait olan Blokzincir sayesinde haberin güvenliği ve kalitesinin de artacağı tahmin edilmektedir. Blokzincir teknolojisini kullanan haber platformları sayesinde haberi sansürlemenin imkânsız hale geleceği öngörülmektedir. Bu çalışmada betimleyici yöntem kullanılarak Blokzincir teknolojisinin gazeteciliğe muhtemel etkileri, dünyada bu teknolojiyi gazeteciliğe adapte eden başlıca oluşumlardan örneklerle analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma bu konuda Türkçe ilk akademik yayın olması açısından önem arz etmektedir.

Blockchain Technology And Future of Journalism: Is a Sustainable Journalism Possible With Blockchain Technology?

Blockchain technology has been on the agenda lately in Turkey as result of discussions about cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin. As a matter of fact, Blockchain is much more than a technology which enables the criptocurrencies. Every day and other a new industry adaptates Blockchain technology to its process. Blockchain technology, which is based on a chain mode and cannot be broken, allows operation without being connected to a center. In Blockhain technology, data is stored on all users' computers in a distributed manner, and since there is no central database, the risk of loss or stealing dissappear. Recently, the journalism and publishing sector has been experiencing some new developments based on Blockchain technology. With the influence of the new media, journalism has become a sector that is constantly losing money and journalistic organizations have no other choice than depending on advertisements. Poor quality and fake news content have offended the reader. The promising fractional payment format for breaking out of the crisis of journalism is possible with Blockchain technology. It is predicted that the security and quality of the news will increase due to Blockchain, which is indelible and available to keep records that third parties cannot reach. With news platforms using Blockchain technology, it is predicted that censorship will become impossible. Using descriptive methods in this study, the possible effects of Blockchain technology on journalism have been analyzed with examples from the main formations that adhere to this technology journalism in the world. This study is important in terms of being the first academic publication in Turkish about blockchain journalism.
