The Relationship Between Communicatıon Frequency And Psychological Safety

In this study, the effect of the communication frequency with the leader on their perceptions of workplace happiness and psychological safety was examined when employees encountered stressful and flexible working conditions. The communication frequency is seen as a dimension of qualified interaction within the framework of Leading Member Exchange theory. It is considered that uncertainty will decrease as the frequency of communication increases. The perception of psychological safety is the perception of interpersonal risk that individuals perceive in their suggestions, proposals and feedbacks. It is thought that the perception of psychological safety increases when uncertainty decreases for the employee. Workplace happiness is measured by the level of satisfaction of employees in the workplace. With decreased uncertainty, stress is expected to decrease, which increases satisfaction and workplace happiness. 238 employees in Sinop towns and districts are samples of this research. The data collected by face-to-face survey method were analyzed with SPSS 21 application. When the results were analyzed, the frequency of communication with the leader has significant effect on the perception of workplace happiness and psychological safety.
