Türk tarihinin çeşitli dönemlerinde kadının toplum, diplomasi ve devlet yönetimi içindeki durumuna ilişkin birçok örnek mevcuttur. Özellikle XIV-XV. yüzyılda birçok hükümdar eşi ya da annesi devletin iç ve dış siyasetinde etkinliğini koyarken yönetimde söz sahibi olmuş, fer-man, vakıf kayıtları ve kitabelere kendi adını basarak diplomasinin önemli bir unsuru olmuş-tur. Bu çalışmamızda Akkoyunlu ve Karakoyunlularda kadının sosyal ve siyasî yaşamdaki rolünü ele almaya çalışırken örnek olarak Hatun Can Begüm ve Sara Hatun’un diplomaside ve devlet yönetimindeki önemi ve rolü üzerinde durulacaktır.

Numerous examples show that women played a role in society, government, and diplomacy throughout Turkish history. Especially XIV-XV. century, many monarch wife or the mother putting the effectiveness of domestic and foreign policy of the state when have a voice in management has become, edict, foundations and the inscription records the name of their own pressing an important matter in diplomacy. This study discusses women's role in the social and political life of Aqqoyunlu and Qaraqoyunlu state and focuses on Hatun Can Begüm and Sara Hatun’s significance to and role to Aqquyunlu and Qaraquyunlu diplomacy and goverments.
